Meet The Team

Geoff Tucker DVM

Geoff is also known as “Doc T.” Geoff is a teacher at the root level and creates all the content you see. His passion is to convey to horse owners a better understanding of how they work by writing the missing horse owner’s manual. He started with horses in 1973, married Kathy, a “barn girl,” in 1977, and has worked with her since. He has been an over-the-road truck driver (18-wheelers) and SCUBA diver. His interests are photography, computers, technology, and, of course, horses.

Kathy Tucker

Like most of you, Kathy has been in love with horses all her life. She graduated from Delhi with a degree in Horse Husbandry and then worked on a Thoroughbred farm in Ocala. Later, she graduated from Cornell Ag School, during and after which she worked for Cornell’s Equine Research Farm. For many years, Kathy and Geoff operated their breeding farm in Freeville, NY. She now works as the office manager for The Equine Practice. Kathy’s main loves are quilting (and any sewing project) and Airedale Terriers!

Matthew Tucker

Matthew works in marketing and social media for The Horse’s Advocate. So you see his “flavor” in the design of the sites, the “flair” of the marketing pages, and the “diligence” of the emails sent to update you. While he is not visible to everyone, he is in everything you see and receive from The Horse’s Advocate. And he does this all from Indonesia, where he lives. He loves SCUBA diving, cooking (he is a trained chef), and computers/technology. His passion is perfection in what he sets his mind to, which we appreciate everywhere in this project.
