Hey everyone! I thought I would share a little of my horse’s journey regarding his nutritional development. We got Santana in October 2021. He had a ewe neck and no top line. His manure was the consistency of cow flops, and he was constantly dirty under his tail and down his hind legs. We immediately removed all grain and put him…

I enjoyed our phone call yesterday. You noted that the BCS was misrepresented here and should have been a 3 to 4.

I have a question for everyone that I would like you to think about and ask as many other people you know too.
Have you ever had or know of a horse that has a hearing deficit in one or both ears. This includes partial as well as fully deaf.
How was this discovered? How did the horse act? What was the cause if known?
By the way, just because…

Doc-t replied to the discussion Insulin resistance in the forum No Grain Challenge 3 years ago
These are 2 different foods. SBM will deliver better protein to help with muscle loss and hormone improvement. However all protein when fed with a sugar intake in excess of daily needs can be turned into sugar which will exacerbate IR.
First reduce the sugar. Restrict the eating time. As you start to see loss of body fat, add in the SBM.
