20 year old Shetland pony that 1st foundered 11 years ago. The deformity of the RF is from a deep digital tendon tenotomy (the surgical cutting of the deep digital tendon to relieve the pull on the laminitis coffin bone) that did not help her. Notice the shift of weight to the hind limbs. See the video for her movement. The question of Quality Of Life will occur when viewing these images, but the pony showed no desire to lay down and die. She had not required any pain relieving drugs for over 10 days at this point. She had free movement about the farm with limited grazing to the weeds around the barn.
