Incisor tumor – This is the same incisor tumor as seen in the previous pictures but taken 18 months later. It is still not a problem for the horse. Hay is being packed under a ledge of tarter despite the cleaning efforts of the owner with brushing. The underlying inflamed tissue is painful to the touch. Notice the inflamed gums that was under the debris. This horse is going to the university in 10 days for radiographs, an accurate diagnosis, and advisement whether to extract. The decision will be based on the behavior of the tumor (invasive or not).
