Wind puff – or distention of the fetlock joint capsule – is seen above the joint here on the lateral aspect of the left forelimb. When firm finger pressure is applied to the lateral distention, it collapses but the fluid is then transferred to the medial side distending the joint capsule there (look carefully on the medial side for the enlargement and compare this with the previous picture before finger pressure was applied).
