Deformed hoof in a successful competition horse. The RF has a club foot conformation which is an indicator of a deep digital flexor tendon contraction when young. The LF has new growth with a vertical wall from the coronary band almost half way down the hoof but then the wall becomes weak and plays out. The lateral wall is filled with acrylic material to give the shoe nails something to bite into.
