Composting of horse waste is done on several farms I visit. Here are some pictures of one operation, but I am not an expert in this.
These photos have captions to express any thoughts I have on the picture. The idea here is for YOU to get ideas, so grab a cup of coffee, darken the room, grab a pen and paper to write notes, and sit back and enjoy. I have more shots and I’ll add them later as I have time.

As a side note, the heat of composting will kill parasite larvae. If you have no other option for waste removal other than spreading it on the field your horses are grazing on, then consider composting it first before spreading it.
