Because I'm clearly not spending enough money...
The PDCAAS method (Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score) is used in the study you linked to. As this was only an abstract, there are a lot of questions raised that the full article may or may not address. First question is what is the PDCAAS method?
The PDCAAS method is used to evaluate the quality of the protein being evaluated…

Having “more truck than trailer” is a safety consideration especially with mountain driving. You will recoup the cost when you…

Hey Y’all! I’m finally home with about a week more of floating before I take time off from going to barns. While it is technically a “vacation,” I’ll be at the computer doing things to enhance the experience here. Kathy, Matt and I have a bunch of ideas. But is there anything specific any of you would like us to add to this site?

Alfalfa and Excessive Flatulence
A 2 string bale is about 40 pounds so 50 bales to the ton (2000 pounds). At least that was the way when they started baling hay regularly back in the 1960’s. This is because hay was sold by weight and usually by the ton. Now the weight of a bale can vary considerably and are sold by the bale. As late as the 1990’s I bought hay out of the field…

@Rosie What is a “scoop?” This denotes a volume and there are an infinite number of sizes or volumes for scoops. For example, there is a small scoop in my coffee jar and there is a very large scoop on the excavator outside. It is always important to measure food intake by weight and not volume. This will take into account density. For…
