I have a 17 year old POA gelding that I discovered has chronic Lyme’s disease. He is currently in a flare up and is back on doxycycline. Any suggestions in managing this to reduce flare ups.

I’ll probably suggest improving the immune system and the best way to do this is to remove inflammatory ingredients and add high-quality protein. So in your discussion, please add information such as his use and his feeding protocol. Thanks!

Thanks Dr. T, I am moving him to a nutritionist, who will make an assessment and start him on the anti inflammatory care he needs.

Thanks for taking care of this. Please let us know what the nutritionist recommends and the effectiveness of their protocol. Doc T
