My horse Maestro resting his head on my daughter’s shoulder. Ashley was in labor and we were walking the field to speed the labor. We walked up to where the horses were grazing and Ashley began having a contraction. Maestro stepped over to her and nuzzled her neck gently during the contraction while she steadied herself against his sturdy frame. When she was done he stopped. It was one of those moments where you ask yourself if you really saw what you thought you saw. Because my job was to time contractions I had my phone out to quickly capture the moment on camera. I have see this horse do similar interactions with his humans that show his connection with their spirit and soul.

1st, congratulations to you and your daughter for expanding your family! 2nd, my son Matt was born the day after Christmas so I really feel connected to this. And 3rd, there is no doubt horses connect with humans. Or is it that humans connect with horses? Either way, it is so cool to have it happen in ways we can’t imagine unless we experience it like you did here in this moment. The energy – it is really all there is in life and horses are so good at reading it.
Could this be providence the new child will be a horse nut like us?
