I know Doc T recommends salt blocks- or white salt (eg plain NaCL)-is that correct? he also said don’t use salt that has sugar as a binder-but I never knew that was done. Is it on the labels? PS my horse starts SBM tomorrow.

Doc T recommends either Redmon Rock or Himalayan. I have used both. Just hang from the rope in their stall.

The red trace mineral salt licks have corn syrup and molasses so I do not recommend them. There was a horse with soft manure that resolved when this block was removed. The white blocks have a binder (unknown to me) that holds it together.
