If your horse is a mare (I note that your horse, Kerry, is not, but I’m making this an open reply to anyone reading this), discomfort from riding in the fall and spring may be due to reproductive organ discomfort. The fall and spring equinox is a period of transitional heat during which the ovaries become erratic in egg development.… Read more

@Lynne Competitive vegetarian bodybuilders prefer soy as their protein source because of the complete amino acid profile. I read this recently. Dr Gabrielle Lyon is a good source of info for human protein research. https://drgabriellelyon.com/
Humans who don’t do well with legumes are better off with meat or whey protein.

Description: The experts are now saying that Cushing's disease (PPID) is a neurodegenerative disease, but that is as far as they are willing to go. But we all see this disease in our horses older than 12 years, and they all look poorly. Why?
Many confuse this disease with Equine Metabolic Syndrome and Insulin Resistance / Dysregulation. I want to clarify the difference. I also want to discuss that there may be a way to normalize horses diagnosed with this disease and, with the help of your veterinarian, get horses off medication.Duration1 hour 30 minutesWebinar Notifications30 minutes beforeWebinar PasswordNo password requiredWebinar LinkVideoHost OnParticipant OffWebinar OptionsMute participants upon entryOnly authenticated users can joinDo not record the webinar.-

Doc-t replied to the discussion Possible THO? in the forum Systems And Diseases 10 months ago
This is Horner’s aka Bell’s Palsy, and is associated with THO. In my experience, it doesn’t affect the teeth, but it may be difficult to float them due to pain from THO. Here is a link to what I’ve written on this website:
https://www.thehorsesadvocate.com/horse-bells-palsy-horners-syndrome/
thehorsesadvocate.com
Bell’s Palsey or Horner’s Syndrome is a paralysis of one side of the face usually caused in horses by trauma.
