I have a question for everyone that I would like you to think about and ask as many other people you know too.
Have you ever had or know of a horse that has a hearing deficit in one or both ears. This includes partial as well as fully deaf.
How was this discovered? How did the horse act? What was the cause if known?
By the way, just because your horse doesn’t come when called…. I really don’t want to hear that story unless it was truly a deaf horse and not a behavioral issue.
Any mounted shooters out there?
I have met someone who studies this and tests for hearing loss in horses. We are planning a future podcast and I would like this information by the end of this month. Thanks in advance! Doc T
