00:00:17—Overfeeding pregnant mares, a discussion of developmental orthopedic diseases of foals (epiphysis, contracted tendons, osteochondrosis dessicans).

00:05:44 – I’d like to create a podcast specifically addressing veterinarians that explains why we need to feed horses without grain and add protein. This podcast would counter the resistance to changing how we feed and show that horses are living beings, not disposable objects.

00:14:48 – Reproduction in horses divided into three parts: The Mare, The Stallion, and Delivery

    00:15:54 – The Mare

    00:26:10 The Stallion

00:32:51 – Foal Delivery, including all pregnancy stages from 10 days post-breeding, twins, signs of impending delivery, and dystocias (difficult deliveries). I describe in detail the “Elbow Lock” delivery, which horse owners can resolve before calling a vet.

00:49:23 – My thoughts on cesarian sections in horses. And some delivery stories in cows and mares.

00:54:44 – I describe the Red Sack Delivery and how to recognize and resolve it immediately before calling a vet.

00:59:50—Acall for ideas to discuss in future Rounds With Doc T. Make ideas simple for horse owners. Overcome established biases and simplify the creation of new paradigms.

01:04:40 – I read an ingredient list for a balancer to a client.

Many thanks @Doc-t really enjoy you sharing your experiences. Only ever had geldings but very interesting to learn about the mare and foal aspect. Also very useful to hear your explanation of the balancer ingredients at the end which I can share with others! Wish we had more functional doctors and vets!
