PPID (Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction) – Cushing’s [[Replay]]
Hey There Advocates!
There was a good turnout for this subject where I looked at PPID from a different point of view. It’s worth watching. I added some images and corrected some things I said with captions, so if you’re just listening, take a moment to scrub through the video to look for the captions for these corrections.
I am using AI to eliminate pauses and filler words. I also removed unnecessary dialog, so you will see many mini-breaks. This should help to condense the material to keep it relevant.
0:01:47 – Q – I would like to know if PPID can be prevented or reversed? Also, is there a natural way to deal with Cushing’s disease once a horse has it?
0:34:11 – Q – What percentage of PPID horses are being misdiagnosed?
0:36:33 – My horse was called a PPID horse without testing. I bought him on Prascend and just kept giving to him. I had him tested last year. I was told he is well maintained on one half tab, meaning that I don’t know. I never get the actual results.
0:41:49 – Patricia comments on her original questions.
0:45:50 -Link – Diary of a CEO link = https://youtu.be/4DWKf5RqU-s?si=an7sSDLIYd7td2nD
0:47:24 – Q – How long to soak hay?
0:50:15 – note – SGL-2 inhibitors for reducing blood glucose in horses. I incorrectly misspelled and mispronounced the medicine being used in horses. The correct spelling is ertugliflozin.
0:52:38 – A comment about soaking hay for 12 hours.
