This week’s Rounds With Doc T covers 3 essential aspects of physics as it applied to horses remaining sound or becoming lame:

    • Force – mass times acceleration
    • Piezoelectric currents
    • Vector analysis on the distribution of weight on the hooves and joints.

There may be a lot more to keeping horses sound. Still, a critical component includes providing the building materials to maintain, repair, and replace materials of the musculoskeletal system and the hooves. High-quality protein is essential for maintaining soundness.
