The June AMA was a success, with many attending and asking great questions.

    1. A discussion of what therapy riding horses go through when working. It is a tough mental job requiring some skills beyond the lives and abilities of horses living in a non-stressful environment.
    2. A question about the microbiome of the gut and the effect that medications have on it.
    3. A question about importing a horse from Spain and whether or not to medicate it with GastroGuard as a preventive for stomach ulcers.
    4. A question about Cushing’s disease in a 29-year-old horse and the management of this disease with Prascend and nutrition.
    5. A question about DSLD (dropped fetlocks, degenerative suspensory ligament desmitis) in an Arab/Paso horse with a BCS of 4 and painful to ride.
    6. A question about laminitis and how to manage a horse with this disease of the hooves.

I hope I didn’t miss anything. If I did, let me know. Doc T
