    Hi Dr. T.,
I’m volunteering at a galiceno sanctuary & I am considering adopting the 2 year old Philly I have been working with.
We have bonded w/each other quite nicely. I have been Sierra’s only human interaction as far as playing, exercising & taking long walks. The owners of the sanctuary feed them, groom them & try to start them on accepting the halter.
    My questions:
    1) she’s only on pasture & coastal hay for her nutrition, is this enough for her? I would like to start her on SBM, how much shall I be giving her per day?
    2) should I have a vet check before I adopt her & what should I ask the vet to test for?
    3) ur thoughts on adopting a 2 year old philly, the owners of the sanctuary, want to still breed her after she turns 10 for 2 foals.
    Much appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Mayra Segovia

    Hey Doc T!

I just rescued a 6 year old Suffolk Punch gelding. (Please have me committed the next time you see me!)

He arrived this past Tuesday and and is urinating excessively. Even though he’s drinking his out put is much more than his input.

I was told he was on an alfalfa & Safe Choice diet for at least a year. Of course I have started him on your healthy diet. What do you think and recommend?

    Thanks so much, Bonny
