    Incisor Reduction: To reduce or not reduce?

    Hi Doc T!

    I was wondering if you could explain a bit about incisor reduction and when it may or may not be necessary? I know a lot of Equine Dentists reduce the incisors without a rhyme or reason, but what about in the event of parrot mouth when the mandibular incisors are rubbing into the palate causing soft tissue damage? I am in another dental group and posted my finding of severe underbite (not quite sow mouth) and got scrutinized for not reducing the incisors or doing a “3 point float” (never even heard this term). I would love your feedback.
