@Doc-t
You might like a Canadian blues artist called Matt Anderson. Heard you mention you like blues on a few podcasts.6 Comments-
Thanks! I looked him up (AndersEn) and he’s really good. Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Kingfish, Poppa Chubby, and Dani Wilde as well as the Beatles, Willie Nelson and others you would never think of for the blues – all so good when I’ve heard enough podcasts on health or politics and holiday music commercializing everything. But I often need to shake off the negative messages of blues,, country and other genre’s lyrics. And the best way to shake off negativity is to get around a horse – agree??

Oh definitely. My new trimmer was out today and commented on how lovely their hooves are. Mind you it’s only been 6 weeks but he noticed he had no flares to tidy up. Not sure if this would be noticable yet or if it is a combination of a really good trimmer and the soy. Also my choleric leaning gelding is doing quite well regarding his temperament. He and my OCD standie were playing and galloping-nothing mean, just gelding fun. I just have to figure out if he does have flabby cheeks or if I should try yet another bit.

Look at this video for feeling flabby cheeks: https://www.thehorsesadvocate.com/horse-flabby-cheeks-oral-cavity/

Hoof improvements are usually seen around 2 to 4 months from the coronet down about 1 to 2 inches. See the photos of hooves here: https://www.thehorsesadvocate.com/horse-feeding-proteins/

Thank you Doc T-definite flabby cheeks. I got a good look by squating down and looking up as I put my thumb in the corner of his mouth and there was a big glob of tissue hanging over the bars. When I put this together with the way the horse goes (I just think he never looks entirely comfortable), something has always been bothering him and I am suspicious this is a decent piece of the puzzle. He yawns when he sees the bridle and I could never figure this out. Now I think I will try a bitless.
