Sunken Face

I often see an asymmetrical face with a crease running alongside the nose. I call this a “sunken face.”

Some horses are born with this defect (congenital), while others have a history of trauma. But with every horse with this defect, I find either a very calm horse or a horse with a very strong personality. I’m not sure what else to call it, but strong might be called determined, single-minded, or focused. They can be either very easy to work with or very difficult.
