OverviewCasting rails are an addition to the stall walls to help a cast horse right themselves.
TipThese photos have captions to express any thoughts I have on the picture. The idea here is for YOU to get ideas, so grab a cup of coffee, darken the room, grab a pen and paper to write notes, and sit back and enjoy. I have more shots and I’ll add them later as I have time.

The cast horse is covered in husbandry. What these rails do is allow the horse to gain a purchase by the hoof to allow him to push off of the wall and right himself.
As you can see, they can be a simple board added or a manufactured rail of rubber. If using cinder blocks (CBC), either add an extension to form a ledge or include a trough, though I don’t think that is as good as a ledge.
Discussion to follow. If you want me to move this up on the schedule, let me know.
